A trip into the wild Highlands!
Today, we'll meet you at Edinburgh airport and transfer you to your hotel. The guide will be standing just beyond the security after baggage reclaim Here are a few choices of accommodations. All are very central within walking distance of most attractions. There are various price points. Let me know your preferences 1-3

Option 1:
We take you to parts of the city normal tourist never explore, the Roman village of Crammond, Dean Mill Village and much more.
Have lunch at the Oldest pub in Scotland, the Sheip Heid Inn , serving patrons since 1326. After lunch, a guided walk in the Old Town, including the Royal Mile, Greyfriers Haunted Kirkyard and some of the Harry Potter trail.

Alternatively, you may wish a free day in Edinburgh , we will arm you with lots of info to get the best out of your time here.
2nd Night @ The Balmoral, Edinburgh
We depart Edinburgh at 9am After collecting you from your Edinburgh Hotel we head from one UNESCO World Heritage site to another...the amazing Forth Bridges. If you are Outlander fans there is a wee diversion to Tibbermore Church (Witches Trial in Outlander!). We stop for a lovely walk in Scotland's Tall tree country at the Hermitage to a lovely waterfall, a hidden gem.
A coffee/comfort break in the beautiful city of Dunkeld, still reeling after a pitched battle in 1688.
There will be an option below to visit magnificent Blair Castle, a home divided during the Jacobite wars. As we get close to Inverness, there are two 'must see places, Clava Cairns (5000 year old Standing Stones & Tombs) & Culloden Battlefield 1746
Overnight @ Glen Mhor Hotel, Inverness
We travel down Loch Ness taking in Urquart Castle and an Optional Boat trip on this famous body of water. Plenty of photo opportunities before heading into the Wild West Highlands via a lovely waterfall walk at Glenmorriston.
Our next stop is Clunie remote mountain Inn for a comfort/lunch break before we see the enchanting but forboding Eilean Donan Castle (Watch the video .)
We then head 'Over the sea to Skye.
We spend the next two nights on this most beautiful island.
Overnight @ The Duisdale Hotel
Today we head up the East side of the Isle of Skye. Heading North there are several optional walk/hikes that we can do such as the gentle Falls of Lealt or the more demanding Old Man of Storr. If Fossils are your thing, then this is the place...Jurassic Scotland, we can go hunting for dinosaur footprints after visiting the beautiful Kilt rock.
The stunning Qhuirang is next with surely one of the most beautiful views on earth.
Time to meet the Faeries at the Fairy Glen before heading down to Portree and its multi coloured harbour.
2nd Night @ The Duisdale Hotel, the Isle of Skye
We sadly depart the stunning Isle of Skye by Ferry to Mallaig. We follow the railway route of the Jacobite Express to Fort William. A short walk through sands dunes to the gorgeous Camusdarroch Beach, used for the filming in the 1980's movie 'Local Hero' with Burt Lancaster. The Glenfinnan Viaduct one of the stars of the show today, used in the filming of the Harry Potter series. Perhaps you'll fancy a wee walk in one of Scotlands iconic locations, Glencoe.
We then head south to the wonderful Trossachs for the next two nights.
Overnight @ The Abbotsford, Callander
We head off into the Trossachs Trail with its multitude of treasures!
Marvel at the bicycle tree at Brig'o' Turk, feed some Hairy Highland Coos and if you are feeling up to it, climb a small mountain. For Outlander fans we take the view from 'Fraser's ridge' (All US scenes were filmed in Scotland) and Doune Castle, used in TV & Movies, such as Outlander (Castle Leoch), Games of Thrones (Winterfell) , Outlaw King, and a very silly film called 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail'.

2nd Night in Callander
We pick yo up from your hotel in Callander at a time appropriate enough to get you to the airport on time. It's about an hours drive so for an 8am flight, we will pick you up at 5am.
